Bram Stoker published Dracula in 1897. One hundred and twenty-nine years later, the Count is still alive — in cinema, in literature, in the collective imagination of every culture. No other literary character has had such a powerful parallel life.
Our Chapter III explores this contradiction: Stoker created a monster, but also built a character with more layers than any hero. The statue won't be the Dracula of the films — it will be the Dracula of the original novel.
